  • Emergency Department redevelopment - $3.2m
  • Renal Dialysis Unit expanded to 15 machines - $400k

Western Health

  • 84.3% increase in nurses since 1999
  • 113 new nurses in 2009
  • 148% increase to operating budget
  • Specialist training funding - $715k
  • Upgrades to Sunshine Hospital - $90.5m

Public Transport – Moving Melbourne

Rail

  • Werribee Line - 310 new services since 1999
  • Williamstown Line - 21 new services since 1999
  • 84 additional car park spaces at Newport Station
  • Bike lockers/cages at Newport, Williamstown North and Williamstown Stations


Buses

  • More late night and weekend services on Routes 232, 409, 411, 412, 414, 415, 431, 432, 471 and 472
  • Introduction of Smart Bus Red Orbital Route 903 between Altona and Mordialloc
  • Night Rider Bus Service –extended service and doubled frequency


Bikes

  • Federation Trail linking Millers Rd, Brooklyn to Williamstown Rd, Yarraville - $9.2m
  • Hyde Street to Footscray Road shared pedestrian and bike path linking Hobsons Bay Coastal Trail to Footscray Road bike path and CBD - $3.7m

Local road funding in Hobsons Bay & Maribyrnong - $247m

Truck Action Plan to remove trucks from Yarraville streets – planning phase now underway

West Gate Bridge and M1 - $1.3b major safety and capacity upgrade

Williamstown Foreshore Strategic Plan – Protecting and setting guidelines for appropriate development and use of this highly valued coastal foreshore

Point Gellibrand State Park – Ensuring this historical and unique site is protected for the enjoyment of the whole community

Lower Kororoit Creek – Supporting the rehabilitation of this natural sanctuary along with the provision of safe pedestrian access.
