For a long time, local residents of Brooklyn have been suffering from an influx of dust over their homes due to the poor quality of roads in the Brooklyn Industrial District. This has caused a significant detriment to the liveability of the great suburb of Brooklyn.
The Andrews Labor Government has tackled this long standing issue of dust pollution by brokering a $2.6 million partnership to seal two of the areas dustiest roads.
Labor To Build Women’s And Children’s Hospital For The West
An Andrews Labor Government will build the Western Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Sunshine, with $200 million in funding to improve care for families in the fastest growing area in Australia.
Victorian Opposition Leader, Daniel Andrews, joined Federal Opposition Leader, Bill Shorten, at Sunshine Hospital today to make the historic announcement, which will create 2,000 jobs in construction and 500 jobs in the hospital.
The new five storey centre – specialising in services for families in the West – will bring care closer to home, allow for an extra 2,000 births a year and free up beds and services at Sunshine and surrounding hospitals.
